Bright and vibrant cross-peen hammered sterling silver bangle. Approximately 1/2 inch wide with 2 3/4 inches opening.

The Dixon #12 is the most versatile stake because it is a mini anvil with two tapering horns – the center portion is flat, one horn with a flat top and one horn nearly round tapering from about 1″ down to 3/8″ which works great for rings, earrings and bracelets. The #12 is barn fresh. It is used and shows signs of use. I have not cleaned nor have I dressed it since unpacking and it is not finished to a polish. This unpolished style is preferred by some smiths as the stake surface does not allow the work piece to move when struck while rough forming. You are free to clean, dress and polish for your style. This is sold “as is”. The #12 can be installed in a nice tree stump if you do not have a large vise or anvil or it can be fitted in the #88 stakeholder I have for sale on another post.

Dixon #12 T Stake anvil $149 SOLD
This cast iron holder provides the base for T stakes and other tools which fit in a 7/8″ x 7/8″ square anvil hardy hole. The base is 6″x4″ with four holes for 1/4″ bolts or lags and is 4 1/2″ tall. I had this on the edge of a large oak stump. (Retail $125)
The item for sale is the stake holder base only. The item for sale is the stake holder base only. There it is twice and the second time I typed s l o w l y. You only get #88 for $99. Not all the other stuff. Clear? Good. 🙂

Dixon #88 stake holder base $99 SOLD
#’s 8 and 9 sold – less than half price! Buy one or both. USPS Priority shipping insured with delivery confirmation in continental US is included in the price.
These are the so-called cowtongue T stakes. #8 is swept up at the tongue end and has a flat anvil surface with angled sides. The #9 has a curved top with radius sides and a small edge at the end – slight round inverted rocker (retail $314). The #8 is hard to find and is great because of the flat surface in addition to the tongue end – more shapes, angles and use with sheet. The #8 is barn fresh. I have not cleaned nor have I dressed it since unpacking and it is not finished to a polish. This unpolished style is preferred by some smiths as the stake surface does not allow the work piece to move when struck while rough forming. You are free to clean, dress and polish for your style. They are sold “as is”. Either of these can be installed in a nice tree stump if you do not have a large vise or anvil or they can be fitted in the #88 stakeholder I have for sale on another post.

I purchased these from US Army-Ft. Sill, OK when they closed the art center on base in the mid 90′s. These are cleaned and polished ready to use or for you to dress/alter tools to your particular style and needs. Stake #25 shows firescale from casting – does not/has not affected any forming work. Images are of this set offered for sale and are not stock images.

The other day I looked at new sketches and drawings of designs I’ve made and began to draft a Gantt chart to begin work. While setting up a small casting in delft clay I looked at the trays full of old inventory from festival shows going back to 1993. I became underwhelmed.
The original plan was to sort, finish, polish, re-work, etc over three pounds of bracelets, rings, earrings, belt buckles, work-in-progress to jump-start a web storefront. The problem with the plan is it’s a continuation of the old work I didn’t like and the inventory in its present form represents a psychological ball and chain. So, why mess with it at all? Except, maybe, to melt it down(link to short youtube video).
The deep pitting on my ingots is from using charcoal briquettes ground through a cheese grater for ingot mold release/flux sprinkles before/after pour.

These sparkling hammered finish fish bone earrings are one of my favorite designs and would make a great present. Sterling silver, about 2 1/4 inches long and 5/8 inch wide and made in the MHD studio.

MHD Cross peen pattern cuff $55
MHD Ball peen pattern type 1 cuff $55
MHD Ball peen pattern type 2 cuff $55
Marshall Hansen Design sterling silver patterned cuff bracelets are made in my studio, are about 6.1 inches long, 2 1/4 inches wide, 1 3/4 inches tall. The width of the silver is 1/2 inch.
This set is comparable to other 20 piece sets offered by many jewelry supply outlets (RG $160, C $159, OF $187.95, etc). I purchased this marked set from US Army-Ft. Sill, OK when they closed the art center on base in the mid 90’s. This set was pulled from my warehouse after being stored for more than 10 years and is in “Barn Fresh” condition. The set is NOT cleaned and polished and has a haze of surface oxidation. I would bet you a dollar these have never been hit with a hammer. The ends have the band saw kerf marks from the time they were cut from stock. See for yourself (typical image above).
A perfect opportunity to dress/alter tools to your particular style and needs and save money. Images are of this set offered for sale and are not stock images. Included is an oak base.

A large bold 3 1/8 inch (tips across) sterling silver hollow patonce cross pendant with bail is for sale.
The work: is stamped “Taxco Mexico 925”; has nice oxidized patina in the recessed areas; has a couple of small dents on top left square border (visible); has oxidation areas on the back.
The piece is not new and is sold “as is”. This piece complements the Reed and Barton Butterfly I used to research large stamped/embossed type jewelry.
